"I get Wotion for Pickle"

Oh Libbie.......

As promised, here is a "funny" story about my darling little two year old.

Libbie came home on Friday with a cold. She woke up multiple times that night, but nothing in comparison to what happened Saturday night. Saturday night, Libbie went right to sleep. BUT, she woke up at 11:30 and stayed up until after 5. She cried the ENTIRE time. She was just miserable. She couldn't breathe through her nose. We gave her medicine, slathered on Vick's and had her penguin humidifier going full blast, but still..... she cried all night. Needless to say, by the time we got her to sleep, Curt & I were exhausted. We woke up to a strange noise Sunday morning. It was NOT the wind from our first Blizzard of the season, it was Libbie trying to screw the cover back on a canister of Eucerin lotion. (you know the creamy thick stuff).

Miss Libbie had wanted lotion for her nose since it hurt so much from wiping it. So, she went and got the lotion that Curt left on the sink in the bathroom. She took it back into her room, got the cover off, TOOK HER PANTS OFF, and proceeded to lotion up her hands, face, legs, HAIR, etc. She came and woke up Curt, who freaked. Then.... we noticed the lotion all over her new carpet in her room.

And then......we saw him. Our cat, Pickles. Covered in lotion, greasy, disgusting. Libbie looked at us and said "I get wotion for pickle" Yes, she rubbed lotion all over our cat. Today, five days later, he is still greasy and gross. We gave him a bath, but.......

Even after giving Libbie a bath, she still had lotion all over her legs. The towel took care of most of it, but she won't be needing any lotion for awhile.

Sunday night, she told both my mom(grandma nina) and auntie steph that she wotioned pickle and had to sit in the corner.

Oh My funny funny girl........ :)

That is a hilarious story, and only because it didn't happen to me! I can't believe Pickles let her put lotion on him-I don't think our cats would sit still for that. Did you get the lotion out of the carpet?

Uh, well there is still a stiff spot in the carpet, but you can't see it.

Hehe, I still laugh every time I read this (and thank God that it wasn't my kid). A great story to tell her when she's older!
