Merry Christmas!!

Libbie celebrated Christmas a little early on the McDonald side of the family. My sister-in-law, Steph and her boyfriend Chris were home this past weekend. We had Christmas dinner on Sunday night and opened presents afterward. Libbie got a little confused in all the commotion. Uncle Rick just kept tossing presents out at her, so she would stop unwrapping what she was working on and go onto another present. She wasn't looking at what she got either. She just kept opening. She is excited to play with all her new toys now though. She got a lot of loot!!
From Rick & Julie: a singing teddy bear
From Steph, Chris & Liz: a coffee set (this will probably be her favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!)
From Grandma & Grandpa McDonald: a doctor's kit and a cash register
From Grandma Jean: a Barbie

I think that is everything that she got. If I forgot anything, Sorry!!!!!

I will post some pictures from this weekend when I get a chance. We are celebrating xmas with my family tomorrow. More stuff for Libbie to play with...... i hope she gets some 4T clothes....She is too long for her three T clothes already. She is tall just like uncle ben and grandpa Jeff. Its a Capp thing! :)

"I get Wotion for Pickle"

Oh Libbie.......

As promised, here is a "funny" story about my darling little two year old.

Libbie came home on Friday with a cold. She woke up multiple times that night, but nothing in comparison to what happened Saturday night. Saturday night, Libbie went right to sleep. BUT, she woke up at 11:30 and stayed up until after 5. She cried the ENTIRE time. She was just miserable. She couldn't breathe through her nose. We gave her medicine, slathered on Vick's and had her penguin humidifier going full blast, but still..... she cried all night. Needless to say, by the time we got her to sleep, Curt & I were exhausted. We woke up to a strange noise Sunday morning. It was NOT the wind from our first Blizzard of the season, it was Libbie trying to screw the cover back on a canister of Eucerin lotion. (you know the creamy thick stuff).

Miss Libbie had wanted lotion for her nose since it hurt so much from wiping it. So, she went and got the lotion that Curt left on the sink in the bathroom. She took it back into her room, got the cover off, TOOK HER PANTS OFF, and proceeded to lotion up her hands, face, legs, HAIR, etc. She came and woke up Curt, who freaked. Then.... we noticed the lotion all over her new carpet in her room.

And then......we saw him. Our cat, Pickles. Covered in lotion, greasy, disgusting. Libbie looked at us and said "I get wotion for pickle" Yes, she rubbed lotion all over our cat. Today, five days later, he is still greasy and gross. We gave him a bath, but.......

Even after giving Libbie a bath, she still had lotion all over her legs. The towel took care of most of it, but she won't be needing any lotion for awhile.

Sunday night, she told both my mom(grandma nina) and auntie steph that she wotioned pickle and had to sit in the corner.

Oh My funny funny girl........ :)

Blizzard Dayz

Curt has been Mr. Mom lately, since he gets home before I do. He picks up Libbie and starts supper too. He is still struggling with Hamburger Helper (he takes the directions a little too literally, although I really don't know how you can screw it up) He can, however, make a mean spaghetti for supper. Libbie sure likes it.......

Yesterday (Saturday), Lib & I hung out at home and hung up some decorations. We also put up our little Charlie Brown xmas tree. She found some antlers and insisted on wearing then for half the day. Just like her Grandma Nina....Its a little scary actually.....

Today, during our big blizzard, Lib & I baked cookies. She loved it!!!

This isn't even all of the cookies we made!! There are more on the counter!! :)
I plan on updating tomorrow as well, with no pictures. Libbie did something....well, funny I guess. I will write out that story tomorrow while I am bored at work....If I get there.

No Santa!!

Yesterday (Sunday), Curt finally had a day off and was up to going shopping with Libbie & I. Actually, it was his idea to head to forks to take us out to eat for lunch!! :)
Anyways, after we ate at Applebee's(Libbie's favorite) we went to Cost Cutters and got Libbie trimmed up. I was really just going in for a bangs trim, but the lady wanted to blend in her hair better, so Libbie got quite a bit chopped off. She was a very good girl and got to pick a sucker afterwards.
After the haircut, we headed to the mall. We picked up our pictures at Sears and then headed off to see Santa. The Santa at Columbia Mall has a real beard and apparently looks scary. We waited in line for about ten minutes, but the whole time Libbie kept saying "No Santa, I go, I go?" Then she told me "I will sit nice in my seat mommy" She had been being a little naughty and trying to get out of her stroller before this. Curt said we should just make her sit on Santa's lap, but I just couldn't do it to her. When I put her back in her stroller, I noticed that she peed right thru her diaper and had wet jeans. Oh my is it ever time to force the potty training issue!!
All in all, she was very well behaved, but she is still asking me "No Santa Mom?" Maybe next year......

NINE DAYS TILL LIBBIE'S AUNTIE STEPH COMES HOME!!!

Saturday, December 6, 2008

A couple of weeks ago, we got our pictures taken at Sears. Libbie was very crabby and it took awhile, but we got some good ones...

The first one is kind of cool. They took it at a funny angle but I like it!

The whole family jumped in here!

Curt wore white socks, as you can see:)

Well, I got two pics up, but Libbie is upstairs crying. It is gonna be one of those tough nights to get her to sleep. Wish me luck!!

Blogging

Since so many people have asked me if I have a blog, I decided that I might try it. My Grandma asked me just today if I have one, so this is for you!! Hopefully you won't feel as left out on our lives if you can read it from Texas!!

My sister also has a blog about her sons. It is http://www.elijahandseth.blogspot.com/. Check it out if you have time. She is probably better at updating than me, but I will try!! I may have some time at work on certain days to update, so we will just have to wait and see.

Libbie is the center of my life, so that is what I named the blog. I will probably throw in some stuff about my new job at Alerus Financial since I LOVE it!! I am still working at Altru Health System on a contract basis as well. I miss all my friends back at Safe Kids, since I do the work from home.

Well, I will try to add some new pics of libbie later.
